On Friday, Tori and I went treasure hunting in downtown York, PA. There are lots of fun spots to explore for antiques, salvaged and restored items, and unique finds.
We started our search at Refindings, York’s Architectural Warehouse, http://www.refindings.com. Their warehouse is 6,000 square feet with eclectic treasures around every turn. From hardware, doors, furniture, and architectural pieces – there is something for everything on your redecorating and refurbishing wish list.
Neither Tori nor I had anything specific in mind that we were searching for, so we just leisurely strolled through the store to see if anything sparked our interest. Tori got the steal of the day with these sewing drawers. 4 drawers for $14! She was excited! Stay tuned for a blog post on how she repurposes them.
From there we check out Redeux, http://www.redeuxmarketplace.com. Redeux is a vintage shop with some handmade items as well. Lots of items that brought us back to our childhood which was fun and nostalgic! This was my first time here and I was very impressed by the layout and their merchandising. It was very tidy and well-organized, which made it a pleasure to shop in. We left empty-handed but I will definitely be going back. Great place to find unique gift items, too!
We worked up an appetite after all that shopping, so we tried a new spot downtown called District Thai, https://www.districtthai.com. It was my first time having Thai food and I’m hooked. It was super yummy. Tori and I shared the pumpkin empanada as an appetizer. Oh my word, it tasted like a Thanksgiving dessert. It was so good! Then I got the Pad Thai noodles with shrimp. Tori got the Pad See Eaw with shrimp and loved it as well. Such large portions that we both had some to bring home for later. 🙂
What a fun day we had exploring in downtown York! More adventures to come… Stay tuned!
