We have a lot of fun goodies and treats coming up for Valentine’s Day over the next month. I thought I’d give a sneak peak on one of the crafts I’ve been working on so you can get a jumpstart on yours if you’d like. This would also make a great anniversary gift or just a token of affection for your significant other. The sentiment could also be changed to whatever is more fitting for the occasion.
- Wood heart pieces (I got a 2-pack on clearance at A.C. Moore for $3.99)
- Chalkboard paint
- Chalk or Chalk marker (if you’d rather it be permanent)
Since these hearts were pre-cut, this craft is super simple and took me less than an hour – which included the drying time of the paint.
Simply paint your heart with the chalkboard paint. I did 2 coats of paint for a more even finish. Then once they’ve dried, write your sentiment on the heart: Happy Valentine’s Day, Happy Anniversary, True Love, your initials or anniversary date…. possibilities are endless. Have fun with it!!
